Dr. Cook is a dermatologist in private practice in Aiken, South Carolina. He graduated from North Georgia College 1969 and the Medical College of Georgia in 1973. Dr. Cook performed postgraduate training in the U.S.Army, in internal medicine and dermatology, and is board certified in both specialties. After more than twenty years in the Army medical Corps, he retired with the rank of Colonel, and has been in the private practice of dermatology since 1993. At various times Dr. Cook has served as adjunct faculty in dermatology, Medical College of Georgia, president of the Augusta Dermatological Society, and Advisory Board Representative, American Academy of Dermatology. He belongs to several local, state, and national professional societies.
With a longstanding interest in Southern history and culture, Dr. Cook is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Military Order of Stars and Bars, and Past Commander of SCV Camp #1575.
Dr. Cook is a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Abbeville, South Carolina, and serves as an Elder. He and his wife Sally have two grown children and four grandchildren.
