Demonstration against Marco Rubio & Southern demographic displacement

The League of the South announces a demonstration against US Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and his support for amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants. Senator Rubio has stated 'I believe in immigrants' and supports a system in which 'the best person should get the job.' The Senator has not made it clear what he means by 'best person,' though from his voting record and previously stated support for Third World immigration it appears that he is referring to the cheapest workers available from around the globe – no matter if this displaces local, historic populations and cultures and causes people at home to lose jobs. Rubio's support for displacing Floridians and Southerners in general has been unpopular with his constituents. The people of Florida and the South deserve better. They deserve someone who will speak for them and fight for their interests.

Building on the success of similar demonstrations in Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina, the League of the South is holding the demonstration in Tallahassee to bring attention to Senator's Rubio support for demographically displacing Southerners. The League believes that this is morally wrong and destructive to Southern culture and political interests. The demonstration will be held in downtown Tallahassee, Florida in front of the State capital on 8 March 2014 at 10 AM. The permit for the demonstration has already been approved. The public is invited and encouraged to participate. After the event participants will gather at a nearby restaurant where we will enjoy one another's fellowship.

Rules for the Demonstration

Anyone who would like to participate in the demonstration will need to follow the guidelines below. These rules are in place to ensure that the demonstration will be as effective as possible and to prevent the message of the event from being hijacked. The League will provide all signs, banners and flags. Participants should avoid wearing clothing or hats with messages, symbols or pictures on them. Business casual is advised as the general dress code for the event. We want to project a positive image to the public which even the Left-wing US media will have a difficult time distorting. The League also has pre-approved media spokesmen. No unauthorised persons are to speak to the media. Participants are also to avoid confrontations with any counter-demonstrators. We want to stay on message and avoid arguing with anti-Southern demonstrators.

We encourage those who plan on attending the demonstration to indicate thusly on our Facebook page for the event. This will help us in organising the demonstration.

The League of the South has arranged to promote the event using local advertising and activism. More information about this will be made available as we get closer to the day of the demonstration.
